Well trial of Chicago 7 is a movie that has been made based on true events, which is something that's hard to do, because for filmmakers when it comes to this kind of script they don't really know what to do with it, since they don't know whether to put the story as it is or to add more ideas on it or to put it in a different narrative context like irony, dark comedy or dark drama context...and a lot of directors in many occasion failed to deliver the story in the right way or they end up ruining characters or changing the written history, in the end, they showed the wrong picture of what really happened . so what makes trial of Chicago 7 any different?
So the first thing I can say to describe how great is this movie, is that this movie is one of those movies that you will not regret watching and it will satisfy you in every way possible, whether it's your favorite genre or not. and if you asked why I think that way about this movie, my answer will be because it's trial of Chicago
-first, the script of this movie is on another level compared to anything else I've ever seen in any movie. one more thing the writer of this film is also its director Aaron Sorkin.
- second thing is the dialogue in this film is its strength and you have to do your best while you are watching this movie to be able to get the full picture of what they're saying because it's not a kid's talk, it's the words of the people who dared to protest on their country and faced their trial with courage, and one more thing the irony in this movie is something else especially from Abbie Hoffman(Baron Cohen).
